Seboeis Plantation is a small town in Penobscot County, Maine. Forty people currently reside here. There are numerous seasonal "camps"... many are located on the shores of South Branch Lake.
The long awaited street signs are installed
Jamie Swett and Tom Reagan posted the signs on Thursday. Urban Rural Initiative Fund money was used for the signs from White Signs in Stillwater.
Seboeis Plantation complies with E911
Roads with public access and street addresses have been entered into the system. The telephone companies and navigation apps will update shortly.
Oct 7, 2023 the VFD equipment will be sold to the highest bidder.
Lots of equipment that is not limited to fighting.
Of course there is plenty of fire fighting equipment.
Power tools and hand tools will go to the highest bidder.
The fire truck and some equipment have been donated to Northern Penobscot Technical Center, Region Three. Several people purchased equipment for themselves. A few local fire departments purchased equipment for their agencies. The Forestry truck was transferred to the Lagrange Fire Department. A heartfelt thank you to the SP volunteer fire fighters who served.
